Restorelle Y

Utilizing the only surgeon-designed mesh exclusive for pelvic floor repair, Restorelle™ Y is the ideal surgical solution for vaginal vault prolapse repair using an abdominal, laparoscopic, or robotic approach. Restorelle™ Y utilizes the most physiologically compatible material available, Smartmesh™ Technology, which delivers less than 1% erosion rate in vaginal mesh repair, optimal tissue incorporation and collagen growth.

Benefits
  • Ultra lightweight Smartmesh™ Technology offers:
    • Near zero erosion rate in a 3 year data series¹
    • High cure rates1,2
    • 71% more mature type 1 collagen than heavier meshes3
    • Non-palpable to patient and her partner4,5
    • Vaginal elasticity maintained
  • Surgeon engineered “Y” shaped device for ease of use
    • Polypropylene stitched mesh arms enhance structural integrity
    • Generous dimensions can be easily trimmed to provide individualized graft
  • Enhanced surgical handling
  • Readily conforms to vaginal vault shape
    • Better intra-operative manipulation and suturing
      • 1.8mm macropores enable easy suture passage through the mesh
      • Critical anatomical structures are visible through the mesh
    • Lower mesh mass accommodates easy passage through narrow laparoscopic ports
  • 71% more mature type 1 collagen growth than heavier meshes
  • 99% cure rate with no vaginal mesh erosions and no de novo dyspareunia in a PFR series of 119 patients

Indications for Use

  • Vaginal vault prolapse repair - abdominal, laparoscopic and robotic sacrocolpopexy
Surgical Procedure

Dissection and preparation of the anterior and posterior aspects is carried out, as well as careful dissection of the pre-sacral space. Restorelle™ Y is passed down a trocar through the abdominal cavity then laid from the vaginal vault to the sacral promontory. The arms of the "Y" graft are secured on the anterior and posterior of the vagina respectively. The single arm is then secured to the sacrum.
