Red Alinsod, MD, FACOG, FACS, ACGE, South Coast Urogynecology, South Coast Medical Center, Laguna Beach, CA
Dr. Alinsod brings a highly distinguished record of accomplishments as both a surgeon and teacher in urogynecology. His private practice, South Coast Urogynecolgy is located in Laguna Beach, CA. He graduated from Loma Linda University School of Medicine and completed his OB/GYN residency at Loma Linda University Medical Center. Dr. Alinsod trains physicians from major universities all over the world in incontinence and pelvic reconstructive surgery. His focus in those early years was pelvic surgery. Dr. Alinsod was the first Rutledge Fellow at MD Anderson Cancer and Tumor Institute and was also selected as a Galloway Fellow at Memorial Sloan Kettering Medical Center. Michael Safir, MD, Southern California Center for Advanced Urology, Roxbury Center for Continence, Beverly Hills, CADr. Safir is a renowned Board-Certified Urologist, specializing in Reconstructive Urology. He is also a noted author and a compassionate leader in his field. Currently, he practices in Beverly Hills and at the West Hills Hospital in West Hills, CA, where he previously held the esteemed position of Chairman of the Department of Surgery for a two year term. Dr. Safir also had the honor of serving as Assistant Professor of Urology at New York Medical College and Section Chief of Reconstructive and Female Urology. Dr. Safir’s education began at Chicago’s Northwestern University Medical School, earning his Medical Degree in the Honors Program in Medical Education, and completed his Urology residency at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. He completed fellowship training in Female Urology at UCLA and in Urological Trauma and Reconstructive Surgery at UCSF School of Medicine. One of only a handful or surgeons world-wide who has completed an intense six-year residency in urology, as well as two separate year-long fellowships in female (UCLA) and male (UCSF) reconstructive surgery, Dr. Safir represents a forward movement in the field of Reconstructive Urology. Charles Rardin, MD, FACOG, Division of Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery, Women and Infants’ Hospital, Center for Women's Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery, Providence, RI
Dr. Rardin is an Assistant Professor at Brown Medical School, Division of Obstetrics and Gynecology in Providence, RI. As an Associate at Division of Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery at Women and Infants’ Hospital, Dr. Rardin specializes in vaginal, robotic, and laparascopic pelvic reconstructive surgery. A graduate of the University of Rochester School of Medicine, Dr. Rardin completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, followed by a fellowship in urogynecology and pelvic reconstructive surgery at Mount Auburn Hospital and Harvard Medical School. Dr. Rardin has a particular interest in innovative and minimally-invasive techniques for the treatment of urinary incontinence, as well as pelvic organ prolapse. He also maintains a committment to the academic growth of the field of urogynecology and has published several articles.
Manish Patel, MD, Male and Female Reconstructive Urologic Surgery, Medical Director, Carolina Continence Center, Piedmont Urology Associates, Charlotte, NC
Dr. Patel received his undergraduate degree at Rutgers University. He then received his M.D. at Wright State University School of Medicine, where he graduated first in his class. His urology residency was completed at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Subsequently, he took additional training in female pelvic health and reconstructive surgery and is now considered a leading investigator and consultant in female pelvic reconstruction and urinary incontinence. Dr. Patel routinely trains physicians nationally on surgical treatment for women and has published fifteen podium presentations and several articles in peer-reviewed journals in the past three years. Currently he is involved in three national study protocols. Dr. Patel performed one of the first Robotic Reconstructive female surgeries in the country. His main interests include incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse (bladder, rectum, uterus, or bowels “falling down or out”), neurourology, penile reconstruction, and male and female urinary disorders. Christopher Stanley, MD, FACOG, Halifax OB/GYN Associates, Daytona Beach, FL Dr. Stanley is a board-certified OB/GYN gynecologic surgeon and the Director of the Halifax Health Gynecologic Endoscopy Fellowship, which offers top level training for laparoscopic and robotic surgery and is the only program of its kind in the state of Florida. As a gynecologic surgeon, Dr. Stanley's approach to treating patients is to offer the least least invasive treatment possible if a patient needs surgery. Dr. Stanley speciliazes in minimally invasive gynecologic procedures to perform laparoscopic hysterectomies, fibroid removal, pelvic pain treatments, pelvic prolapse and bladder dysfunction procedures. Kathyrn Arendt, MD, FACOG, Medical Director, Center for Continence & Pelvic Health, Evergreen Hospital, Kirkland, WA
Dr. Kathryn Arendt received her medical degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia. She completed a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of New Mexico then completed a two year fellowship in pelvic reconstructive surgery at Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle. Dr. Arendt ha been board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology since 1998. She has been a leader at Evergreen Hospital in promoting a multidisciplinary approach to treatment of women with pelvic floor disorders. She is also a frequent speaker, teaching health care providers and the public about pelvic floor disorders and available treatment options. Moises Virelles, MD, FACOG, Palm Beach Urogynecology, Palms West Hospital, Wellington, FL
Dr. Moises Virelles is board certified and specializes in obstetrics and gynecology. He obtained a BS degree from Palm Beach Atlantic University and received his medical school training at the Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara, Mexico and the University of Maryland School of Medicine. He completed his residency at the Prince Georges General Hospital in Cheverly, MD and Providence Hospital in Washington, D.C. His training included externships at Georgetown University Hospital and Walter Reed Army Medical Center. Dr. Virelles graduated in the top 1% of his medical school class, received "Best Resident" award twice at Prince Georges General and was voted "Best Gyn Oncology Resident" at Georgetown University Hospital. Dr. Virelles has served as Chairman of the Dept. of OB/GYN at St. Mary's Hospital in West Palm Beach, FL as well as Dept. Chairman at Palms West Hospital, Loxahatchee, FL. Arturo Menchaca, MD, FACOG, FACS, Adventist La Grange Memorial Hospital, La Grange, IL
Dr. Arturo Menchaca is board certified urogynecologist. He received his BS from the University of Illinois and continued on to attend medical school at UI. His post doctoral training took place at the University of Iowa Medical Center and Mount Sinai Medical Center in Chicago. Dr. Menchaca completed a fellowship in Urogynecology and Pelvic Reconstruction at St. Mary's Medical Center in Galesburg, IL. When Dr. Menchaca started practicing in 1988, he was only the second doctor with a fellowship in this subspecialty in the Chicago area with an emphasis in pelvic floor medicine and reconstruction, laparoscopy, and the treatment of complex voiding problems. He regularly teaches surgery in the operating room to practicing gynecologists, urogynecologists and urologists. His research nterests are urogynecology as well as cosmetic and reconstructive surgery. He is the Vice Chairman of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at La Grange Memorial Hospital. Charles Boag, DO, Today's Women's Health Specialists, Chandler Regional Medical Center, Chandler, AZ
Dr. Charles Boag is a 2004 graduate of Midwestern University. He completed his residency at the University of Toledo in 2008 where he was assigned the role of Chief Resident. Dr. Boag’s training focused on high risk obstetrics, primary care for the female patient and the most advanced minimally invasive gynecologic surgical techniques.
