Kathryn, 33 years old
Mother of 3 childreną
Life Prior to Surgery
“I had three kids at a very young age – three kids within three years and after those three kids I had experienced a feeling of fullness and pain with intercourse. Also, I was not able to enjoy activities with my kids as far as jumping on trampolines or running around without having small amounts of leaking. Anytime that I had to cough or sneeze, I had to prepare for it in order to avoid any kind leaking which at my at my age at that time – I think I was 25 or 26 – was quite embarrassing being that I was still suppose to be fairly young and I had seen doctors in my area that had told me it was part of having children and part of aging.”
Experience After Surgery with Restorelle® & Minitape®
"A Pelvic floor disorder is quite embarrassing because I thought it was something that older women had to deal with not as a 29 year old woman, but I can tell you that I feel my age again. I can run with my kids. I can jump on trampolines. I can cough and sneeze. And in my line of work when I do run and I am very active, I don’t have any problems with leaking. I don’t have any problems with the feeling of being full or heavy down there and basically it’s like prior to childbirth for me. I don’t have any worries or concerns. I don’t have to prepare to sneeze or to cough. It’s been a life changing experience.”
“Even with a difficult recovery, it was well worth the surgery. I would do it again if I had to because the quality of life is so much better. As far as being scared about it, I would be scared to continue to be living the way I was more so than having the surgery.”
